Hello and thankyou
for taking the time to look at my website of photographs.
I am a full time artist living and working in York - North Yorkshire - England.
I started taking photographs with a view to using them as a backup to my sketch books.
Way back then, my husband lost his slr camera to me
when our children where babies and he never got it back.
Much to his dismay he now finds we never go anywhere without a camera.
Well you never know what you may see.
I use a digital SLR Canon EOS 400D with a Canon EFS 17 -85mm lens.
and
a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H9, it is so light to carry around and I love the moveable LCD screen.
A tripod is very rarely used - I just hold my breath and hope for the best.
I am not very good following instuctions, so I tend to just play around with the settings
and
sometimes the results are good.
The play on light and dark is what I enjoy, you have to be quick it can be gone in a flash.
Like painting it can just be a splash of colour or flash of light and you think wow!
York , Yorkshire, The East Coast, Scotland and Northumberland
all provide the beauty
of
Landscape, Seascape and Cityscapes I so enjoy.
Abstract images another way of creating.
I love to find faces - hidden away in the clouds, trees, stone,
they are everywhere and anywhere you just have to look.
Who are they?
The software I use is Corel Paint Shop ProX2 and Photo Shop 7.
I haven't read the instructions - life is too short anyway I enjoy being surprised.
One day I will follow the rules.
